World Improvement Number (WIN) is a site designed to help us all understand how our personal actions can positively affect the world. The WIN system is designed to help people, communities, businesses, organizations and countries measure how their World Improvement Actions (WIA) and ideas can positively affect the world.

As long as it builds and improves, a WIA can be just about any action or idea from helping another person whether they be a friend, a stranger, a customer, or a colleague to helping people through a charity or foundation, to helping an animal or even improving our environment.

It is not just the act or idea that is important, it is telling others about it so that they too, can be inspired to take action.

You don't have to tell you own story... you can tell the story of another. Many people who do good things are shy about telling stories about themselves, so the system is wide open to stories about what someone did for you or something that you saw, or something that you heard or read about in the news, online, on the radio or on TV.

As a world community, we are capable of anything and when all of that energy is positively directed one can only image what will be accomplished.

Why is WIN so powerful?

The WIN Number: You receive WIN points by posting your WIA's, or reporting on those of others that you have seen, heard or read about. In addition, because the site tracks your stories and gives others access, you are rewarded with WIN points when you inspire others. You can track your WIN locally amongst your friends, within your communities and also see how your story affected people from every corner of the planet. This is your chance to see and measure the butterfly effect of how your positive actions influence others.

The WIN Maps: We have a couple of fully interactive maps that track the WIN movement across the world, including world leaders and community leaders. In addition each member has their own map that allows them to track their personal global and community impact.

Completely Multilingual: We do believe that the universal language of WIN is in positive action. Thanks to Google, you can have stories written in any language translated so that you can understand and people who don't speak your language can read your stories. This truly gives us the ability to communicate through action.

World Improvement Number differs in a number of ways (a few examples are below):
 

• We are the only ones that can calculate the actual impact that a World Improvement Action can have globally.

The Program:
Personal World Improvement Number: The WIN point tracking automatically calculates your personal "WIN" and shows you just how significant the ripple effect of a positive action or idea can be. You (as a user) would post your positive experience or idea onto the WIN site after signing up.
Positive stories and actions are divided into four easy categories –

• A positive action that you took for people, animals or the environment.
• A positive idea that you have learned about or thought up (for a full list view examples of positive actions).
• A positive action that someone else did for you.
• A positive action that you learned about whether that be by seeing it in person, seeing it on TV or the internet, reading about it or hearing about it from someone else.

How It Works:
Once your story is posted, you are immediately credited with a point. If you give others access to view your story your points will grow exponentially. Someone then reads your story and is inspired so they click on the inspired link underneath the story. You are then immediately credited with another point. Should another user be inspired by your story, they can click on inspired and you receive another point for each of them. Should you inspire any of those people to post a story and they inspire others, you receive a point for everyone that they inspire and everyone that they inspire and so on and so on.
The possibilities are endless. You could literally inspire thousands of people around the world with a single story. The system will track your total accumulated points, your year to date points and your month to date points. You can have fun competing with your friends in all sorts of ways.
You will be able to track the butterfly effect of your stories about how they have impacted friends, strangers, and communities far and wide.
